MARBLE

Marble is a more delicate stone than granite and is traditionally used for pastry and candy making,  Marble has also been popular for table and furniture tops. Marble is softer and more susceptible to staining than granite. Marble is recommended for vanity, fireplace, tables, tub decks and floor tiles.

Marble comes in many different colors, usually heavily veined, revealing many grains and is favored for its beauty and design. Marble tiles are available polished or tumbled for a less formal appearance. For stain resistance, sealing with an impregnating sealer is recommended every 3-6 months, depending upon use.
